Product Types & Selection Guide

High Chrome Cast Iron Balls

  • Chrome content: 10% (Cr10), 15% (Cr15), 20% (Cr20), 28% (Cr28)
  • Superior wear resistance — ideal for abrasive ore grinding
  • Hardness: HRC 58-65 after quenching and tempering
  • Low wear rate: 0.3-0.8 kg per ton of ore (typical)
  • Best for: gold, copper, iron ore and cement grinding

Forged Steel Balls

  • Material: 65Mn, 40Cr, 42CrMo or B2 steel
  • Higher impact toughness — ideal for large SAG mills
  • Hardness: HRC 55-62 after heat treatment
  • Excellent impact resistance with minimal breakage
  • Best for: primary grinding, SAG mills, high-impact circuits
